A handpoked tattoo, also known as stick and poke or machine free tattoo is a technique that uses professional tattoo needles to individually poke each dot by hand. This method of tattooing can take longer than machine work to do, but usually hurts less and heals faster. Handpoked tattoos are just as permanent as machine tattoos.

I price by the piece, not by the hour. This varies depending on complexity, color, size and placement. 

My minimum is 120$, Custom designs start at 180$ and torso placements start at 220$ My work usually averages between 200-350$. Multiple pieces done in one sitting will have a 10-15% discount on the total price.

Flash day events and last minute openings may have pieces that go below these prices!

I require a 50$ non-refundable deposit to book for any flash and 100$ deposit for any custom work. This goes towards the final cost of your tattoo.

Cancellations, no-shows or rebooking with less than 48 hour notice will result in loss of deposit.

This is in place to protect the time spent designing, preparing and booking your appointment.

I start all my consults through my booking form.

The form takes you through a series of questions to help me get a clear idea of your ideas and budget.

If your piece is more complex or a larger scale design such as a sleeve I may offer an in person consult.

Pain level will vary between people and is very placement dependent. Sensitive areas such as joints or ribs are often described as more painful. The sensation is often compared to plucking eyebrows or sandpaper on skin. Majority of people find handpokes hurt less than machine tattoos.

You can minimize some of the pain by:

avoiding alcohol and coffee for at least 12 hours, staying hydrated before and during your appointment, distraction and meditation (Feel free to bring whatever you need to keep you distracted), and making sure your skin has been taken care of and moisturized.

I often send out a draft of the piece several days to 1 week before your appointment. Due to time restraints I do not send out more than one draft. You may request small adjustments and some changes at that point. If you require a complete rework of the design I will require a new deposit. Final designs will be revealed on the day of. 

Multiple sizes and placements can be tried on the day of. Small adjustments can also be made during your appointment.

Any piece tattooed by me comes with a free touch up within a year. I will also offer to touch up previous pieces by me for free if you are in to get a new tattoo.

The free touch up is voided if the piece is damaged during aftercare such as sunburn or injury.

I typically do not touch up tattoo work by other artists but may make exceptions if you are unable to access the artist anymore or are no longer comfortable returning to them.

I take payment in the preference of cash, e-transfer and paypal for international clients.

Deposits are taken via e-transfer or paypal for international clients.

Tipping is appreciated but not expected. It is a great way to show your artist you enjoyed the experience. The standard tip rate is in line with the hospitality/ service industry rate of 15-20%.

Non-monetary tips are also accepted such as handmade/purchased goods or food and snacks. I do not have any dietary restrictions!

No judgement will be placed on you if you do not leave a tip.
